{"id":156,"date":"2011-10-13T19:34:42","date_gmt":"2011-10-13T19:34:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thebigmove.ca\/?p=156"},"modified":"2011-10-13T19:37:28","modified_gmt":"2011-10-13T19:37:28","slug":"day-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebigmove.ca\/?p=156","title":{"rendered":"Day 8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, Day 8 and we now have garage walls, well the base for them.\u00a0 We popped up to the site today as we had to meet with the power people re our power poles going in and we wanted to see what we had missed yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>There was nobody on site today so we decided to have a look around the inside of what has been built so far &#8211; the only problem is we have no door yet.\u00a0 To get in we had to climb a ladder on one side of the walls and then go across the top of the wall part way (wall is about 8 inches wide)\u00a0and then down another ladder.\u00a0 Well &#8211; I dont like ladders at the best of times and once\u00a0I got to the top of the first one and saw the drop on the other side\u00a0I couldnt go over.\u00a0 I did manage to get in though &#8211;\u00a0I grabbed the a-frame step, carried it down the side of the house, under a low plank and into the bottom of the hole for the basement.\u00a0 I then climbed on it to the window frame and pulled myself through so\u00a0I was sitting in the frame.\u00a0 I then climbed down the ladder on the inside.\u00a0 It was a bit of a faff but\u00a0I wanted to walk around the inside \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Its not as though there is much to see on the inside as we only have the starts of walls but it is all progress.\u00a0 To get back out of the basement\u00a0I did climb the ladder and go over the top of the wall &#8211; the drop on the other side is not as big as it goes into the garage which has a raised floor.<\/p>\n<p>Our builder is now away for a week so there wont be any progress reports until the end of next week.<\/p>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So, Day 8 and we now have garage walls, well the base for them.\u00a0 We popped up to the site today as we had to meet with the power people re our power poles going in and we wanted to see what we had missed yesterday.
