Tractor Shopping

Out of interest we made a stop at a second hand farm equipment workshop on the outskirts of the village.    In winter, we have a long (1000ft) driveway to clear of snow, and lots of land with thick grass and shrub to cut, so a Tractor would be really useful.

The further we walked into the tractor graveyard, the more scared Michelle became that we were about to be abducted!   However the further we walked, the bigger the tractors became, so Nick was in his element!

Breakfast at the Train Station Inn

Bit of a treat this morning, we all went down to the Trains Station Inn for breakfast.

It’s currently Blueberry Festival Season in Nova Scotia and many places are celebrating by adding Blueberry related meals to their menus.   To do our part we had two Blueberry pancakes, some Acadian Toast (Nick’s favourite) and a cooked breakfast.    The pancakes were fantastic and the real maple syrup went down well too!

The Train Station is a hotel in Tatamagouche, but it’s not your usual hotel – each bedroom is in a Railroad Caboose!

The hotel is run by a friend of ours – Jimmie LeFresne and is definately worth a visit if you’re in the area.
